Job Overview

As the Director of Business Development at Torev Motors, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading our business growth by establishing and cultivating strategic relationships within the automotive and electric vehicle industry. This role will be highly independent and will help develop and then drive a business development strategy. It will be instrumental in driving sales, identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities, and fostering collaborations with key customers and partners. This position will interface directly and actively with Torev’s customers, development partners, and senior management. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Strategic Initiatives: Lead the development and execution of business development strategies to execute Torev’s go-to-market strategy and drive revenue growth.
  • Industry Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, OEMs, potential partners, and industry influencers to drive business opportunities.
  • Partnerships and Joint Ventures: Identify, negotiate, and foster strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures with OEMs and other relevant industry players.
  • Sales Operations: Oversee and manage all aspects of the sales process, including lead generation, contract negotiations, and sales operations to meet and exceed company targets.
  • Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, potential markets, and growth opportunities for the company’s products.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, and product development teams to align business strategies with product offerings and market demands.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or related roles within the automotive, electric vehicle, or technology industry.
  • Strong network and existing relationships within the automotive or electric vehicle sector is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in leading and managing high-performing teams.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

  • Degree in either electrical or mechanical engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Previous work experience as an electrical or mechanical engineer.
